Registration Course Notes: This is a blended course that combines on-campus meetings with online learning activities. Instruction is delivered 30% in the classroom and 70% online. Each section will meet one day each week with the second class meeting as exclusively online.

•       Ref. # 493641 meets in the classroom on a THURSDAY schedule (Tuesdays: Online)
•       All sections will begin a fully online schedule for the remaining classes in November & December.

NO TEXTBOOK REQUIRED:  This course does not require a textbook and all literature will be available within the course platform as a downloadable PDF file or as a direct link to an open access educational website. Students are expected to PRINT the materials or have them available in portable electronic version for in-class discussion.

Broward College Catalog Description: Composition II is designed to further develop a students' composition skills by building on the rhetorical modes/strategies learned in ENC 1101. The course requires students to observe the conventions of Standard American English and create documented essays, demonstrating the students’ ability to think critically and write analytically. Selected readings supplement the course and provide topics for discussion and written assignments. Students use library research methods for primary and secondary sources to produce MLA style-documented and well-argued essays and research paper. Students must earn a minimum grade of C to meet the requirements of the Gordon Rule. Students must pass either ENC 1102 or ENC 2210 to fulfill Area l general education requirements for the A.A. degree.
